Four designers came together for the new collection

Aziz Sarıyer, Tanju Özgin and Arif Özden are working on a very ambitious collection to be released in January. There will be products where each designer visually forces their limits. The Objets will also be exhibited at the Milan Fair. I like to work collectively. It's a process. The firm needs to make some leaps and win a new vision. Maybe after that, we will work with designers abroad. I do not see any distress in my own name. Our responsibility is to give direction to Turkey's capital. So, designers should get rid of their brands and work together. We also need a firm that we can create good designs for. But the numbers do not pass through a hand of fingers. This is also due to the scattered work of designers and their lack of consensus. The reason why Italy is a brand is to nurture and develop the industry. We also want to move the firm upwards with the strength to be born. My stuff is a good example and other brands do it.">

CHAIR DESIGN IS THE HARDEST ARTICLE

Alp Nuhoglu, who is interested in design since his childhood, graduated from Mimar Sinan University Department of Industrial Design. For eight years B&T Design has been designing products such as chairs, seating groups and coffee tables.

Nuhoglu says that people are not spending money to show their homes to anyone, and they have laid out spaces with their own comfort in mind. That's why their work is easy to perceive and close to the user. Some designers do not like the products they accept, but they do not complain about it. We talked with Alp Nuhoglu about the point of view of design.

You are only working with B&T Design. Brand, did you direct the brand?

- I first heard it with B&T Design. I made sure that eight out of 10 designs will have the power to make the mark, the products that can be sold, which will enable them to reach their targets and stay up. If there are no such companies already, there will not be an industrial product designer. Just go by name as designers who have become brand names. This will not benefit anyone. I am a design worker. I've always avoided branding myself.

Why do you avoid being a brand with your name?

-I feel like I'il be limited if there's a mark. I kept myself for a long time. Because when you are on your eyes, the color of your business changes and you become more careful. I want to be a laborer and a worker in every field of work. The purpose is to establish the utility relationship between the manufacturer and the user. We need to move the industry in our country somewhere. When we do this, we can open ourselves up if we suppress our name and our greetings a little more.

But if you do not want your brand?

I am not a designer as I would like in the eyes of those who set the benchmark designer criteria. But I am efficient and productive. Success is not a product but a rise in the process followed by a company.

Could you tell us your design style?

Now people are not spending money to show their homes to anyone. She is laying her own comforts for her own comfort. This is a necessity brought about by everyday life. I am also more general, I design products that people will feel close to and love. I stand on easy-to-detect objects. I do not go after a certain trend, I do not make a product for a certain group. I play with forms and stuff. I want the person who uses the design not to question the status. I am trying to keep the customer out of the design object. This leads me to dislike by a group as a designer.

Who is that band? Why do not they like you?

- There are determinants that put criteria for every sector. We can call them the first group. I think they are all very good designers. I like their work, but my way is separate. I have a responsibility to a company. I do not want to be a designer accepted by designers. Otherwise I think I can lose my style and help the company. Do not like unpleasant things. I will continue my journey as I appreciate my cutting designs.

What materials do you like to use? Is there a rising material in the designs?

- I want to reach the forms I want long time abroad I am looking for materials made. I am working on people who are surprised and ordinary. These are variants of plastic. I think that all the materials can be trendy when used correctly. Wood is always a material to exist. I mostly use woolen fabrics that go well with their texture and colors. I often prefer metal. We do a lot of flooring work as well. The module feature in my furnitures also bumps.

Do you have functionality or visibility in your products?

- Functionality is absolutely. But I'm not just thinking about selling products this way. For example, a coffee table that takes on other forms when folded does not interest me very much. I meet the need of the market and the company.

What is the most difficult object for you to design?

- Designing hard work chairs. This is the same in the world. Because physical difficulties are a very obvious product. Even the simplest chair design requires engineering knowledge, comfort and visuality. It is very difficult to combine these three criteria. Every chair that makes good chair succeeds. I started work with chair design. After that I want to make good chairs.

What is the most important product in home decoration?

- A product located in the center of the house. There's nothing wrong with being private and showing yourself. The objects around the sehpan should also adapt to him and not scream too much.

How many products do you design per year? Is it a better designer to produce a lot?

Over-20. If you are an industrial product designer you already have to do it. All of them are extremely basic, not generally considered design because they are easy to accept. In fact, this type of work that keeps the Italian industry up and running. Which one is not the design is not the right argument. Because these products are beneficial.

How do you evaluate Turkish design?

I liken it to village movies with social content taken to look cute in the West. There is no use for reinterpreting a clog or a shoemaker in the name of Turkish design. Everywhere we treat Europeans. In our cars, in our houses, in the way of life ... Can you think of a man with a pipe modernized nargile? I'm curious to know who will use it. I also think that you are very interested in this abroad and will not benefit Turkish design.

How do you evaluate the increase in interest in designing among young people in recent years?

- Design has increased with the proliferation of interest house magazines. The sculptural products of renowned foreign designers came to the agenda. The young people thought the design without seeing the things behind him. He took the example at the top. They can make designs like big designers, but you can not put the top brick right without properly aligning the bricks below. Design culture was like a pop star, because design culture was called "designing it" in a totally unfolding collection.
